Financial Support is a direct government assistance programme designed to provide financial support to low-income individuals and families, helping to alleviate their living expenses in accordance with established eligibility criteria and standards.
The Ministry of Social Development oversees the disbursement of financial support in coordination with the Information & eGovernment Authority, the Information Affairs Authority, and other relevant government entities.

Effective January 2022, the financial support provided to eligible low-income Bahraini families was increased. The support is determined based on three income categories:
Eligible individuals can apply by submitting a request through the Registration and Social Services offices available at social centres across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
